【设计意图】课前唱一首歌, 活跃课堂气氛,同时让学生有愉快的心情准备进入新课的学习之中。

(承接上一环节)教师提问学生:What’s your favourite season? 引导学生回答自己喜欢的季节。
教师在黑板上贴出一些形容天气的单词,如warm, hot, cool,cold,rainy,windy,snowy,cloudy,sunny等,帮助学生回答问题。
【设计意图】复习A learn所学的单词和句型,同时复习四年级学过的关于天气的单词,激活学生的的已有知识,为后面运用语言做好铺垫。

Step2. Presentation 1. Lead-in story
T: I have a friend. He is Jack. He works in Canada. I have just received a voice mail from him. Listen to the voice mail and find out what he does in each season.

Dear Amy, How are you? I am happy in Canada. Canada is a beautiful country. I love Canada. We have four seasons in a year. They are spring, summer, fall and winter. Spring is the loveliest season in the year. The weather is warm. I can wear my shirt and pants. I can plant trees in the park. Summer is the welcomest season to schoolchildren. They have a long summer vacation. They may go to swim. They can wear T-shirt and dress. Fall is a good season for picnics and games. It is cool and windy in fall. In this season, we can fly kites. We can wear jacket. Winter is cold. In this season, snow begins to fall and the weather is cold. We have to wear coat and sweather. I like winter best, because I can skate and make a snowman. 2. Learn the new words. (承接上一环节)
(1)T: What does Jack do in spring? 学生回答:Plant trees.
教师在黑板中贴出plant trees 的单词卡片。 Yes, he can plant trees in spring. T: Do you plant trees in spring? What else can you plant? What can you wear in spring? What can you eat in spring?
延伸教学:plant flowers, plant corns等。
(2)T: What does Jack do in summer? 学生回答:Swim.
教师在黑板中贴出swim 的单词卡片。 Yes, he can swim in summer.
T: Do you swim in summer? Where do you often swim? Who do you swim with? What else can you do in summer? What can you wear in summer? What can you eat in summer?
延伸教学各种在summer 进行的活动,如eat ice-cream, go to the beach等。 (3)T: What does Jack do in fall? 学生回答:Fly kites.
教师在黑板中贴出fly kites的单词卡片。 Yes, he can fly kites in fall. T: Do you fly kites in fall? What can you do in fall? What can you wear in fall? What can you eat in fall?

T: Let’s read Jack’s voice mail again. Please fill in the blanks.
把呈现环节中的邮件挖空,配上图片,让学生根据图片填写单词。(Activity 2) 【设计意图】再次利用呈现环节的邮件,让学生根据图片填写单词,检查学生对单词的掌握情况。邮件中讲述了关于每个季节的活动,衣着和食物等,为学生下一环节的交际运用做支撑。
