作文:
One possible version
A lot of us lose life?s tougher battles by starting a face-to-face attack while a sense of humor might well enable us to win.
Sam, a young friend of mine, hit a traffic jam on his way to a job interview and, naturally, was late for it. Although there was a good reason for his being late – traffic jam on the way, he decided that this excuse wouldn?t work; the interviewers would just consider him a failure to handle tough situations.
So when Sam entered the interview office, he forced a smile and stretched out his hand, “How do you do!” Then he said, “I?m Sam. I?m applying for the job, which, I understand, became available just 15 minutes ago. Does the
early bird get the worm?”
The room exploded in laughter. Sam finally got the job - with the only tool that could win, a sense of humor, which is a most effective means of dealing with the difficult situations in our life.
