In order to bring up the excellent building artisans (工匠), the American College of the Building Arts (ACBA) has developed building arts in a new way in America. Under the direction of our experienced professors, students will have the chance to learn basic skills as well as receive a high-quality education. Our Goal
The American College of the Building Arts believes in educating well-rounded, high-quality artisans. Our students will study the skills they need and be able to practice them, resulting in not only artisans who can make use of a wide range of materials to produce difficult structures, but also professionals (专业人员) who can become leaders in the fields of construction and design. Our Duty
Historically, building artisans were equal to doctors, lawyers and professors. Unfortunately, the physical work has made them lose much of the respect they once held. So our college wants to rouse (唤醒) the respect people once had for master builders and artisans. Students will receive an excellent general education and the best training they need in the building arts. With this education and training in hand, the college’s graduates will help change this situation for the better. The Building Arts Festival
The American College of the Building Arts will host the Building Arts Festival on Saturday, March 15 to show the skills and artistic talent of the experts in the building field. The festival will be free and open to the public between 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m.! Contract Information
For more information, contact our admissions (招生) office at 818-577-2720 or get in touch with Deborah Bowman, the director of the office.

Hongbao, or the red packet, is simply a red envelope (信封) with gift money inside. It is a tradition in China, and it has had a long history. Kids can always receive red packets from their parents, grandparents and other relatives during the Spring Festival. People think the red packet can bring them good luck.
These years, however, the tradition is going high-tech. The red packet has turned into electronic (电子的) hongbao on the mobile phone. During the important festival, people send electronic hongbao to their family members and friends by Wechat, QQ and so on.
Electronic hongbao makes people closer to each other. You can send electronic hongbao to others no matter how far they are. People won’t care how much money you give them. They will feel warm because you still remember and care about them. Electronic hongbao also brings fun to people. People can send it anywhere at any time. They may get electronic hongbao in surprise.
However, electronic hongbao may also be bad. People may spend all their free time grabbing electronic hongbao and care less about their life and people around them. K12教育资源学习用资料

Hurricanes (飓风) and typhoons are big storms. They can be up to 600 miles across and have strong winds at speeds up to 300 kph. The storms can last for over a week. When they come onto land, the heavy rain, strong winds and large waves can damage buildings, trees and cars. Storms can also cause injury and death. If a hurricane or typhoon is likely in your area, you should: ●Listen to the radio or watch TV for information. ●Make your house safe by closing your doors and windows. ●Make sure you have plenty of water for drinking and cleaning—fill your bath with water to use. Leave your home under the following conditions: ●If you are told to leave by the authorities (官方)—be sure to follow their instructions. ●If you live in a high building. ●If you live near the sea or a river. ●If you feel you are in danger. If you are unable to get out, follow these advice: ●Stay indoors during the hurricane and keep away from windows and glass doors. ●Close all inside doors and outside doors. ●If the storm dies down, do not go outside; it could be the eye of the storm—the winds will pick up again. ●Stay in a room on the ground floor. ●Lie on the floor under a table.
