a. Crane inspections shall be conducted in accordance with applicable
crane manufacturers specifications and all applicable jurisdictional codes and standards.

5.1.8 Upon successful completion of the initial and annual inspections a
jobsite load test is required. For all jobsite load testing, refer to Project Procedure PR-8710-0000-0010, Crane Load Test. An HSE Representative may be required to witness the test, depending upon project specific HSE procedures.

A load test compliance certificate must be kept and updated. This certificate must be current at all times while performing lift operations.

On-site Crane Operations & Maintenance Support »¤Ö§³Ö
During the course of a project, continuous inspections and maintenance is essential to the safe and reliable operation of cranes and lifting equipment. In order to assure reliable operation, daily, monthly and annual inspections are to be scheduled by the PEMOT on all lifting equipment on-site, and by the contractor for all own and/or third-party rental lifting equipment.

5.2.2 The crane operator is to perform the daily inspection of the crane
utilizing the inspection forms provided by this procedure and the Project Equipment Maintenance and Operations team. If the crane is due for monthly or the annual inspection, ensure those inspections are performed as well.

5.2.3 Based upon the inspections performed above, determine if the crane is
safe to perform its function. If it is determined during the inspection that there are equipment concerns that need to be resolved prior to performing a lift, the operator is to contact his supervision and the appropriate representative of the PEMOT to have the equipment concerns resolved.

5.2.4 The maintenance team is to perform and record any corrective
maintenance (repairs) performed. If repairs are done to any of the crane load sustaining parts, then a load test shall be performed in accordance with PR-8710-0000-0010.

5.2.8 Execute the lift ʵʩµõ×°
a) If at any time during the lift there is an unexpected problem,
concern, or situation that arises, secure the lift and report to supervision and the HSE representative on site. It will be the responsibility of supervision make to necessary adjustments and reports (as required). These reports may be up to and including a root cause analysis of the event. The supervisor and the HSE representative will use a graded approach to determine the extent of reporting required.
