3. how long意为“多久，多长时间”，以此询问“做某事持续了多长时间”。 how long 还表示“多长”，用以询问“长度”。

4. how soon意为“多久以后”，用以询问“某事将在多久以后发生”，只用于将来时。 5. how far意为“多远”，用以询问“距离或路程”。

6. how many意为“多少”，用以询问“可数名词的数量多少”。

7. how much意为“多少”，用以询问“不可数名词的多少”。 how much还表示“多 少钱”，用以询问“某物的价格”。

8. how old意为“多大，几岁”，用以询问“某人的年龄”。

9.. how about+doing意为“…怎么样？”与what about…？同义，用以询问对方的意见，是省略句。

分钟数≤30， “分钟数＋ ＋ 小时数”。

9: 10 ten minutes past nine 10: 30 half past ten 分钟数＞30，“(60－分钟数)＋ ＋ (小时数＋1)”。 11: 40 twenty minutes to twelve.

【注意】：整点钟的表示方法只有一种，即钟点数 + o’clock eg: 8:00 -- eight o’clock 【野蛮提示】

(1)30分钟可用________代替；15 分钟可用________代替。 5: 30 half past five; 9: 45 a quarter to ten (2)在某一时刻用介词________ 。
