本单元的话题是“Interesting events”，通过单元学习，要求学生掌握如何用

Using context Role playing 过去时态谈论过去发生的事情，并能运用过去时态讲述一个故事。语法结构要求掌握由when 和 while引导的时间状语从句、过去进行时以及一般过去时。在了解目标语言的基础上，要求学生能读懂描述过去经历的文章，并进行模仿写作训练，描述一段不寻常的经历。

Section A 1a通过让学生把几个不同的人及其在UFO出现的相应位置进行

配对，初步呈现本单元的目标语言，即talk about past events。1b是一个听力活动，要求学生听录音，圈出正确的回答。学生将从听力材料中进一步获取目标语言信息，了解过去进行时。1c是一个会话活动，让学生练习when 和while引导的时间状语从句和过去进行时的表达法。2a和2b是两个听力练习，帮助学生掌握when 和while的不同用法。2c是一个小组活动，要求学生根据图片提示，仿照例句练习用when 和while造句，描述当UFO离开时不同的人在做什么。3a呈现了一封邮件和几个图片，要求学生根据邮件内容给图片排序，检验学生对目标语言的认知程度。3b是对学生目标语言运用能力的检验，要求学生能看图口头复述故事。4是一个小组活动，让学生结合自己的生活实际，以采访的形式练习过去进行时的用法。

活动，要求学生根据提示的情境用所学过去时进行会话练习。
