Mother’s Day is beautiful. It is filled with delicate cards and beautiful flowers. But some ' will make plans lo ntay home from church this Sunday, to avoid restaurants and most public places where they will be sure to be cheerfully greeted with a “Happy Mother’s Day!” because sometimes Mother’s Day hurts.

It Hurts for the woman whose teenager is heading down a dark and risky path and while she has tried everything in her power to “save” her child from the pain that road brings, nothing has changed. It hurts for the mother who has a tense relationship with her own duughter and who wishes the day could be with brunch and long talks and laughter. But instead the daughter goes over the last phone call, the cold goodbye, and the deafening silence.

I have an amazing and beautiful mother and enjoy a great relationship with her. I had people to celebrate on this day and I did. But it still hurt, for I didn’t respond positively In the holiday. Over time I leared that it was okay to love and honor my mom. I am now feeling better, though still aching over what was lost.

We can reach out to those we think the day might be hard for.We can send a card or text or email to let them know we’re thinking of them. We can’t take the hurt away, nor should we try.But we can let them know they aren’t forgotten and they are loved important. We can show that we won’t let the hurt scare us away or silence us. This Sunday, in the midst of our celebration,Let’s be sure to send love to all the mothers in the world.

A group of college students is hoping to place a satellite powered only by water into an orbit aroud the moon.

The students are from Cornell University in the state of New York. They are takking part in a compete team is called the CisLunar Explorers. The word cislunar means“between Eatrth and the –moon”.

The challenge is simple: to design, build and deliver

“ flight-qualified , small satellites”. NASA official say the satellites must be able to perform “advanced operations near and beyond the moon”。

Ten teams are taking part in the competition. But the CisLunar Kxplorer satellites are the only ones using water to power their spaceceraft. The idea for a water-powered vehicle came from Mason Peck, who works at Cornell University. He has always wanted to use something other than rockets to push beyond earth.

The craft is two connected satellites, both shaped like the English latter“ I”. Water is storel in the lower part of the satellite. The sun will separate the water into two elements: bydrogen and oxy-gen. When one combines hydrogen and oxygen with a spark (火花). an explosion results. This pro-vides a forward movement, known as thrust.

Another cool thing about the CixLunar Explorer is how the team is teaching it to navigate its way through spare. The idea in to ropy how old-lime sailors used the moon, sun and stars to fix their posi-tion on the oceans. The satellite is equipped with cameras.
