Lesson 16 A Skating Lesson

一、 Teaching Goals

1 Students will be able to understand、 orally use、recognize and spell the following Vocabulary: think 、can、skate、late、teach、ice、learn、fast、again、ask、say和stand up、fall down。

2、Ss Will be able to recognize、understand and use these sentences: Can you skate?| I think I can| I fell down 二、Teaching Preparation

Audiotape or multimedia CD for lesson 16 三、The important and difficult points

The first is to master the usage of the words: think、can、fell down

The second is to master and use the sentences: Ican\\Can you\\be going to

Difficult Points:It,s the pronunciation of the words and how to use the sentences fluently and freely 四、Teaching and Learning methods

Make the Ss take part in class、Ask and answer in pairs and groups:I,ll use communicative method、discussing method and seeing, hearing method to teach this lesson 五、Teaching Procedures

Step1、warming up

1、 Listen to a chant of Lesson 15 2、 Free talk

Show a picture of 滑冰场

T:I can skate.I,m going to skate.Can you skate? Sa:Yes,I can !

T:Can you skate? Sb:No、I can,t T:What can you do? SB:I can swim.

How many of you know how to skate? Do you remember when you first learned how to skate? Who can tell us what happened? Today Danny will teach LiMing to skate. How do you think that? Let,s see Step2、presentation (一)Learn part 1、 闯关游戏 关卡1、

Play the tape:从开始到Danny stands up ,too.

Ss have a pair work:Listen and judge {T:F}check as class 1、 Jenny is going to teach Li Ming to skate( ) 2、 Li Ming is late.( ) 3、 Li Ming is late.( )

4、 Danny can stand up on the ice.( )

Play the tape again ,the Ss read along with it 关卡2

Play the tape of the other

Ss do a pair work,then check as class Listen and choose the right answer

1、 Who can skate? A.Li Ming B.Jenny C.Danny 2、 Who fell down again?A.Li ming B.Jenny C.Danny (二)Learn Part 2 关卡3抢答游戏

1. Let,s do it(Ss read Part! And answer the questions) What is Danny going to do? Is Danny early or late?

Can LiMing stand up on the ice? Does LiMing learn fast? What happened to Danny? 2、Have a discussin in groups.

3、Race to be the first to answer a question.{抢答} Step3、practice

Do a role play. One s:can be jenny 、one scan be Danny and the other will be LiMing Step4、consolidatinn Make a dialogue like part 1

A:I can swim. Can you swim? B:No ,Ican,t. C:I,m going to teach you to swim. B:Oh great!

D:I like skating、but Ican,t、Can you skate? B:yes、I can、I,m going to teach you to skate. D:Thank you!

Step5、 summing up and homework. 1、summing up

(1) words and phrase:

Skate、left、teach、ice、learn、fast、again、ask、say、stand up、fall down、 (2)sentences be going to— I can—Can you--? How did I do Danny? He falls down again. 3、 Home work Listen and read part1.

Make up a new dialogue according to the text and act it out.
