(4)Structure: The countable nouns and uncountable nouns. 2.Ability objects:

To learn to talk about likes and dislikes. 3.Moral objects:

Teaching procedures:

Step1:Lead in

(1)Show a ping-pong ball. Ask:What’s this? Ss: It’s a ping-pong ball.

T: I have a ping-pong ball. Do you have a ping-pong ball?(To a student)

S: Yes,I do./No, I don’t.

T: I like ping-pong. Do you like ping-pong? S: Yes,I do./No, I don’t.

(2)Take out a banana. Ask: What’s this? Ss:It’s a banana.

T:I have a banana. I like bananas.Do you like bananas?(To a student) S:Yes,I do./No,I don’t.

(3) Tell the Ss that we are going to learn Unit6 Do you like bananas?

Step2:Presentation

(1).Show some pictures of food in this lesson one by one and teach the new words by using the patterns: What’s this?It’s… What’re these?They’re…

I like ….Do you like …?Yes,I do.No,I don’t. I don’t like ….Do you like …?Yes,I do./No,I don’t.

Ask Ss to pay attention to the plural forms of these new words. (2)Practise:1a

①Read the words one by one.

②Ask Ss to match the words with the things in the picture.Then check the answers.

Step3:Presentation

(1)T:I like bananas.(To a student)Do you like bananas? S:Yes,I do./No, I don’t.

T:I don’t like salad.(To a student)Do you like salad? S:Yes,I do./No,I don’t.

Ask the Ss to read the sentence patterns. (2)Activity 1b:

①Listen and number the conversations.

②Check the answer.Let the Ss repeat the conversations after the teacher.

(3)Pairwork:Show a picture of some food.Ask Ss to practise the sentence pattern. Do you like…? Yes,I do./No,I don’t. (4) Activity2a and 2b

Step4: Talk about the Ss’ likes and dislikes.

T: Do you like hamburgers? S: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.

T: Does he/she like hamburgers?

Ss: Yes, he/she does.He/She likes hamburgers. (Help them answer) No, he/she doesn’t. He/She doesn’t like hamburgers.

T: Do you like ice-cream? (Who likes ice-cream? Please stand up.) Do they like ice-cream? (To others) Ss: Yes, they do. They like ice-cream.

T: Do they like ice-cream? (To a student who stands up) S: No, they don’t. They don’t like ice-cream.

Ask Ss to practice the sentence patterns. (Show the sentence patterns on the screen)

Step5: Pair work

Ask the Ss to watch a survey and talk about it. —Does Bob like…?
