Key structure—Can I help you? = What can I do for you? What’s the price of…? Teaching procedures: Step 1. Revision Check the homework. Revise thewill dostructure. Step 2. Warm up Group talks.

Talk about the pictures in Activity 1. Get the students to know where they are and try to

get more information about them. Step 3. Presentation

Get the students to look at the picture in Activity 1.

Read through the words; make sure the students understand them. Then get the students to match the words in Activity 1. Share the answers in class.

Try to use the words in the box to describe where they can buy these things.Step 4. Listening

Listen to the tape for the first time in Activity 2.

Get the students to talk about want they can learn from the listening text.Step5 Listen and read

Say:Lingling and the shop worker are talking in the shop now, listen and find out the

answers to this question:

What is Lingling going to buy for her mother?

Play the tape, get the students to listen and find the answers. (Answers:A T-shirt.)

Read through the questions in Activity 2 and complete the table in Activity 3.T-shirtsSausagesStrawberrries

Play the tape again and answer the questions in Activity 2.. Get the students to listen while reading the passage. Read it again and try to find out the answers to them.
