Lesson 2

Teaching aims:

1. Grasp the new words: cake, hamburger, hot dog, chicken, French fries,

bread.

2. Respond the TPR activities “Eat the hot dog/ ….”quickly and correctly.

*Try to use this phrase. Preparation:

a. Tape and recorder

b. Some pictures of fast food c. Words card Steps:

(1). Warm-up/Review

a. Listen to the song: Let’s Have a Picnic Today. b. Daily oral practice. For example,

T: Good morning, Mike. Let’s go to school! S1: Great!

S1: Good morning, John. Let’s go to school! S2: …

c. Make a conversation like last lesson’s. (2). Presentation

a. Shows the pictures. Let students read the names of that.

b. Shows the word’s cards. Which word is “hamburger”? Who can come and point to the word “hamburger”?

c. Use this form, let pupils grasp the new words: cake, hamburger, hot dog, chicken, French fries, bread. d. Listen, read and point. e. Which do you like? (3). Practice a. T: A cake. S1: I like cakes.

S2: Have a cake, please.

(4). Let’s do

a. Listen to the tape and look at the pictures. b. Let’s do : pass, cut, eat, smell

b. Asks pupils to follow teacher to do it if they can. c. Do it and say if they can. d. Correct the pronunciation.

(5). Learn to sing a song: Let’s Have a Picnic Today.

(6). Assessment (7). Add-activities

Lesson 3

Teaching aims:

1.To use this sentence: Can I have …? 2.Practice and make dialogues. Preparation:

a. Tape and recorder

b. Some pictures of drink Steps:

(1). Warm-up

a. Listen and sing the song: Let’s Have a Picnic Today.

b. Daily oral practice. For example,

T: Good morning, Ben. How are you? S1: Very well, thank you.

Good morning, Mike. How are you?

S2: …

c. Come to front to act a dialogue(A: Let’s talk) (2). Presentation

a. Look at the pictures (B: Let’s talk)

T: Look! Today is a lovely day. Mike and his friends are having a picnic. They are eating and drinking.

b. What are they drinking? Oh, they are drinking Coke. e. To practice: I like…. Can I have some…?

T: Sure. Here you are. S: Thank you. T: You’re welcome. d. Listen and look.

(3). Practice

a. Shows the pictures. S read it one by one. b. Read the sentences after the teacher. c. Practice the dialogue in pairs. d. Let’s play.

e. Asks some pairs to act the dialogue. (4). Culture

Look at some pictures of flags. Enable the students to know some knowledge about these flags. Try to say what color is the flag.

Lesson 4

Teaching aims:

1. Grasp the new words: water, milk, juice, Coke, coffee, tea.

2. Respond the TPR activities “Pour the water. / … ” quickly and correctly.

*Try to use this phrase. Preparation:

1. Tape and recorder 2. Some word’s cards 3. Some drinks Steps:

(1). Warm-up/Review

a. Sing a song: Let’s Have a Picnic Today. b. Daily oral practice. For example, T: Good morning, Ben. How are you? S1: Very well, thank you.

Good morning, Mike. How are you?

S2: …

c. Make a conversation like last lesson. (2). Presentation

a. Shows the pictures. Let students read the names of that.

b. T: Look! I’m pouring the tea. Pour the tea. (边倒茶,边说两遍) T: Now smell the tea. (边做动作,边说两遍)

T: OK. Now taste the tea. (说两遍,边说边做尝味道的动作) T: Mm…Good. Drink the tea. (边做动作,边说两遍) c. Asks pupils to follow teacher to do it if they can. d. Do it and say if they can. e. Correct the pronunciation.

Lesson 5

Teaching aims:

1. Exercise in the part of “Let’s check”.

2. Learn to say the part of “Let’s chant”. Perform it and replace it in the

proper place.

3.Review the new songs in the unit. Preparation: Tape and recorder Steps:

(1). Warm-up

a. Sing the song: Let’s Have a Picnic Today. b. Daily oral practice. For example, T: Good morning, Ben. How are you? S1: Very well, thank you.

Good morning, Mike. How are you?

S2: … (2). Practice a. Let’s chant.

At first, listen to the tape.

The second, learn “What a surprise!”

breakfast and lunch. Try to chant it. b. Let’s check.

Listen the tape and do it.
