英语口试

Directions: In this part of the test, you are given a discussion topic. You have 30 seconds to look at the task prompt, and then about 4-5 minutes to discuss the topic with your partner. After that, the examiner will ask you more questions related to the topic.

1. Travelling to Work

Your company’s location in a busy city centre means that staff often complain about the time taken to get to work. You have been asked to make some recommendations. Discuss and decide together:

●whether it would be better for staff to use public or private transport ●what the effects might be of allowing staff to work flexible hours

●what other measures the company could take to deal with the situation.

2. Health and Fitness Facilities

Your company is considering providing a fitness centre on the premises to help employees improve their health and fitness. You have been asked to make recommendations for this scheme. Discuss, and decide together:

●what benefits the centre would bring for the company ●which types of facilities could be included

●how to promote the need for health and fitness to all staff

3. Staff Suggestion Scheme

You company is planning to introduce a suggestion scheme and to encourage members of staff at all levels to contribute ideas. You have been asked to consider ways of setting up the scheme. Discuss, and decide together:

●How to set up the scheme so that all staff feel they can contribute ●How suggestions from members of staff could be evaluated ●What kinds of rewards would be suitable for suggestions made.

4. Customer Base

The Finance Director of your company is concerned that the majority of its income comes from one main client. You have been asked to make recommendations on ways to expand your company’s customer base. Discuss, and decide together:

● what the potential dangers are of having only one main client ● how the company could try to gain additional clients

● how the company could ensure it maintains good relations with its main client

第三部分：讨论

这部分内容为考生与考生之间讨论商务语境中的工作话题。由考官发给考生一张论题卡，上面有几行提示词，简单描述一个商务情景，以及用圆点符号标出需要讨论和做出决定的要点。考生有30秒钟时间共同阅读提示词并各自打腹稿进行准备，然后根据文字提示，进行3分钟讨论。考生需首先共同构建一个语境（如：他们所在的公司），自然地将讨论引入决策，而不仅仅是讨论各种选择方案。讨论结束后，考官会另外问一些问题进一步扩展讨论。这部分口试时间为：2个考生一组的大约时间为7分钟，3个考生为一组的大约时间为9分钟。要求考生无须考官介入就能主动发言、得体应答并自然转换话头。

1. 考后考官会对两位考生提出相关问题，也有可能不问 2.考试中某位考生发言较少，会针对考生提问 3.按照流程，例行公事来提问问题

You have about 30 seconds to read this task carefully, and then about 3 minutes to discuss and decide what to do. You should give reasons for your decisions and opinions. You don't need to write anything. Is that dear?

[After the candidates have finished speaking，the interlocutor asks questions and finishes the speaking test as directed on the examiner's copy of the task card.]

本项考试的目的是：考官考察考生运用英语进行交流的能力。包括：正确的组织和进行对话的能力； 对问题做出正确的回应和分析的能力；做出判断的能力。

应试技巧： 1.开始要有寒暄

让考官和考生都进入状态 2.以互动式交流为主

回答简洁、清晰，切记不要长篇大论；总有提问（反问），帮助对方进入状态

3.部分赞同，部分反对 即竞争，又合作

What exactly are you trying to say? 5.赞同(体态语) Mm hmmm./ Yes.

That’s it. /You got it. / You said that. Exactly!/ Absolutely!/ Definitely! I see what you mean. / Make sense.

?在讨论中表达同意时所用的句型：I think so. / You are right. /That's quite true. /I share your view. /I have the same concern. /That’s a good point. / No doubt about it.

6.部分赞同，部分反对(体态语) 赞同，but… Eg. Exactly! But..

That’s true but.... Yes. I know but.... I understand but....

Public transport for our staff might be a good choice.

You got it. Very good. But some staff are not likely to get rid of their beloved-cars, and at least easily.

It's a good idea to offer flexible working hours for our staff. In this way, we could avoid traffic jam commuting on the way.

I see what you mean. But I’m aware that flexible working hours means it would be more difficult to manage our office working hours, like clock-in and clock-out. 7. 插话
