Step 2: Presentation
1 The ball is missing.
The teacher brings a toy cat into the classroom, and tells students the cat’s ball has gone. The teacher asks students to look for it in the classroom.
T: This is my friend Mimi. She has got a ball. But she can’t find her ball now. Let’s help her find her ball in our classroom. OK?
Ss: OK.
2. Look for the ball.
(1) Present the phrase “in the desk”. T: Where is the ball? Is it in the desk?
(The teacher takes a look at some students’ desks.) T: No, it’s not in the desk.

The teacher teaches the phrase “on the desk” by using the word card.
(3) Present the phrase “under the desk”. T: Where is the ball? Is it under the desk?
(The teacher asks some students to find it under their desks.) S1: Yes! It’s under my desk! T: Good! It’s under the desk.
The teacher teaches the phrase “under the desk” by using the word card.
3. Teach the sentences.
Write down the sentences on the blackboard.
4. Teach “Silly me!”.
T: Oh, I can’t find my English book now. Can you help me? (The English book is in the teacher’s hand.) Ss: It’s in your hand. T: Oh, silly me!
The teacher shows “Silly me!” on the PPT and teaches students to read it three times. (课件出示:Silly me! 我真傻!并配图)
Step 3: Practice
1. Learn the dialogue of “Let’s talk”. (1) Ask some questions.
