1．close

(1)adj．(在空间或时间上)接近 The church is close to our schoo1． 这个教堂离我们学校很近。 The two buildings are close together． 这两座建筑物距离很近。 (2)adv．接近地；靠近地；紧紧地 They live quite close．他们住得很近。

close与shut都有―关闭‖的意思。close仅指把开着的门关上，shut指关上门后，把门闩住。

He closed the door behind him．他随手把门关上。 He shut the door behind him．他把门闩上。

shut和up构成的短语动词可表示把某人或某物关起来。He was shut up in a small room．他被关在一间小屋里。(close无此用法)

close还可以表示―遮盖‖。

The girl closed her face with her hands．那姑娘用手遮住脸。(shut无此用法) 2．trust

(1)使(某人[自己]，身体的某个部位、动物等)受伤或受肉体痛苦 I am not doing anything because I fell and hurt my neck last week． 我现在什么也没有做，因为上周我摔了一跤，伤了脖子。 (2)使(某人)精神痛苦；伤(某人)心；伤(感情)}使烦恼。

My feelings were hurt when he didn‘t ask me to the party． 当他没有请我参加晚会时，我的感情受到了伤害。 【辨析】 injure，hurt与wound

这三词都可以表示―伤害‖的意思，但又各有侧重；injure作为及物动词，一般指在事故中受伤；hurt也可用作及物动词，也可用作不及物动词，它侧重肉体伴有疼痛的伤害，尤其指精神上的伤害；wound一词多指在战争中或打斗中所引起的刀伤、枪伤等外伤。 Although his hand was injured；he continued to help rescue the trapped workers． 虽然他的手受了伤，他仍旧帮助拯救被困的工人。
