One day, Spotty returned from his daily walk with a broken leg. I called out to my mother and she quickly tied a bandage around his broken leg and gave him food to eat. I was very upset. But the next day, Spotty skipped as usual though he was injured. After this incident I had a closer relationship with Spotty. I really admired him for his courage. Paragraph 2:

About a year later, one midnight we heard Spotty barking breathlessly. We came out and saw that he was barking continuously, heading somewhere. After some time, Spotty became quiet. The next morning, my heart missed a beat when I didn’t see Spotty. I searched for him in every corner but he was nowhere. I cried and waited for him but there was no sign of him. What happened to Spotty? Would he have died? These were the questions in my mind, but they all remained unanswered.
