（1）有些名词形式像复数，但含义是单数，而有些名词是没有单数形式的， 应注意谓语动词的选用。例如：

（2）在―there be‖的句子中，谓语动词的数应和它最近的主语的数相一致． 例如：

a．There are two pictures on the wall．

b．There is a cat and two dogs in the garden．

（3）使用不定代词时要注意范围，两者之中用both，either，neither，each等， 在三者或三者以上之中用all，any，none，every等词。例如：

a．Both of his parents are teachers．

b．Neither of the students wants to do such a lot of homework． c．Each side of the street is quite clean．

（4）不定代词some一般用于肯定句，any用于否定与疑问句，但在if条件句中 用any，在表示―给予‖的句式中，问旬中用some。例如：

a．Would you like to have some more coffee?

b．If you have any questions，pleas come and ask me．

（5）有些不定代词常成对使用。例如：

one…another（一个…，另一个），用于三者或三者以上

one…after another（一个接着一个） 不确定范围

some…others（有些…，有些…）
