【教材内容分析】 本单元的话题是Chores,要求学生学会用Could you please ...?和Could I ...?来委婉地提出请求或征求别人的许可以及如何有礼貌地拒绝别人并表达自己的理由,陈述自己的好恶。通过单元学习,学生还将了解中西方在这方面的文化差异,增强他们在日常生活中的沟通和交流能力。 【学情分析】 1.学生程度不一,学生人数多,语言实践机会少,容易两极分化,通过各种合作学习的活动,可以带动学习英语有困难的学生。

2.中学生活泼,好动,好胜心强,可塑性大,在教学过程中,注意设置情境,倡导其积极参与,引进小组竞争机制,更好地激发学生的学习兴趣,提高课堂效率。

【教学目标】

知识目标:掌握本讲的单词、短语、句型和语法。

1. 重点词汇:dish, sweep, meeting, hate, borrow, invite, care, feed, mine

2. 认读词汇:chore, partner, trash, fold, laundry, snack, teenager, player, disagree

3. 短语:take out, living room, work on, do the chores, make one’s bed, do the dishes, sweep the floor, take out the trash, fold the clothes, clean the living room, do the laundry, take care of 4. 语法:Could for polite request Could for permission Make versus do 能力目标:能够用英语谈论未来自己理想的职业及实现的方法和途径。 1. 听:Listen to conversations of polite request and permission. 2. 说:Make polite request and ask for permission. 3. 读:Read an e-mail message about making requests. 4. 写:Write an e-mail message to ask for help.

情感目标:学会合理安排自己的业余生活,思考自己的理想,并为理想而努力。

【教学重点及难点】

Step 4. Pair work. 1a, 1. Watch the photos and talk about them “What does he do every day?’ and learn these phrases: do chores, do the dishes, make the bed, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, do the laundry, clean the living room.

2. Look these phrases and practice the conversation: Could you please take out the rubbish? Sure. / Sorry, I can’t. I have to finish homework first.

Step 1.Warming up: talk about some pictures. What chore is she doing? She’s doing the dishes.

Step 2. Work on 3a Read the passage and answer the following questions. 1. Did Nancy do any housework that day? 2. Why was Nancy’s mom angry with Nancy? 3. Did they solve the problem? How? Step 3 3b.

Read the story again and read the sentences below. Underline the sentences from the reading that mean the same thing.

1. Neither of us did any housework for a week.

2. My mom came over as soon as I sat down in front of the TV. 3. You’re tired, but I’m tired, too.

Step 4 3c. Decide whether the underlined words in the sentences are verbs or nouns. Then write another sentence using the underlined word in the other form. Could you take the dog for a walk? (noun) 2. Could I watch one show first? 3. I can’t work all day. 4. You watch TV all the time.

只作情态动词的 can / could, may / might, ought to, must 可情态可实义的 need, dare

可情态可助动词的 shall / should, will / would 相当于情态动词的 have to, used to

1) 情态动词不能单独做谓语, 除ought和have外, 后面只能接不带to的不定式。

2) 情态动词没有人称, 数的变化, 但有些情态动词, 如can、will也有一般式和过去式的变化。 情况

borrow和lend

borrow和lend都有“借”的意思,但它们的含义和用法有所不同。 ★ borrow表示“借入”,即把本来不属于自己的东西借来暂时使用,常与介词from连用。如: You can borrow a book from the library.

★ lend表示“借出”,即把属于自己的东西借给别人暂时使用,常与介词to连用,也可以跟双宾语。如:
