重庆园博园占地3000亩,充分利用自然地形地貌建成了一座融传统园林、地域文化、新型技术为一体的永久大型生态园博园。园博园内14个展区的展园总数达到127,属历届展园之最。中国83个城市、港澳台地区及21个国家和地区的园林艺术文化精髓汇聚园内。 本届园博会以“园林,让城市更加美好”为主题,融汇中外园林文化,传播生态环保理念,展示园艺创新成果,将对城市经济与人口资源环境协调发展起到积极促进作用。
The 8th International Garden Expo, co-hosted/sponsored by China Ministry of Housing and Urban & Rural Construction/Development and Chongqing Municipal Government, was open to visitors on Nov. 19, 2011 in Chongqing. Here, visitors can enjoy tours around the garden, grand lantern shows, bonsai and flower arrangement art shows as well as activities like round-the-garden bicycle races. (On Nov. 19, 2011, the 8th International (Chongqing) Garden Expo, co-hosted/sponsored by China Ministry of Housing and Urban & Rural Construction/Development and Chongqing Municipal Government, was open to visitors, who could enjoy tours around the garden, grand lantern shows, bonsai and flower arrangement art shows as well as activities like round-the-garden bicycle races.)
The Chongqing Expo Garden, a permanent, grand eco-friendly one, covers an area of 494 acres (2,000,000 m2), making good use of the natural topographic features. It combines traditional gardens, regional cultures and new technologies. There are 14 exhibition areas inside with display gardens totaling 127, the biggest of all garden expos ever held. Here collects the quintessence of garden arts and cultures from 83 Chinese mainland cities, Hongkong, Mecao, Taiwan and 21 other countries and regions. Themed as “Gardens Make the City Better”, this expo embodies both Chinese and foreign garden cultures, promotes ecological consciousness, and showcases gardening innovations, thereby contributing considerably to the coordinated development of urban economy, population, resources and environment.
