Teaching Goals:
1. To read and talk about the types of humor and typical actors.. 2. To develop some basic reading skills.
3. To arouse Ss’ interest in learning about humor. 4. To enrich the students’ horizon. Teaching Procedures: Step 1 Leading-in
Tell students some jokes to arouse their interest in topic and tell them the types of the humor. 1. play on words

Show students two pictures of Charlie Chaplin taken when he was very young and ask them who he is. And then ask them whether they know anything about him .They can have a discussion and then tell the class what they have already known about him.

the text quickly to find out what are mentioned about him in the text.. 2. Ask them to read the text once again and write down the main idea of each
paragraph.
