A famous Chinese scientist---Yuan Longping

Yuan Longping is a famous Chinese scientist. He was born in Beijing in 1930 and studied very hard in Southwest Agricultural college from1950 to 1953. In 1964, he made a special study of rice and ten years later he developed a new kind of rice which saved a number of people’s lives in China. In the1980s, he travelled around the world and gave advice about growing rice. As a result, he won World Food Prize in 2004. Now he is helping many countries of the world grow more rice than before. He is one of the greatest heroes in my heart.
