NYC 22 (CBS) 纽约22警局
Premieres: Sunday, April 15 at 10/9c
Never underestimate CBS and its love of cop procedurals! This one — produced by Robert De Niro — is about rookies.
Adam Goldberg and Leelee Sobieski play two of the six newbies on the job in Upper Manhattan. The numbers in the title refer to their precinct, and you have to admit it's a way better title than its previous one, The 2-2.
Scandal (ABC) 丑闻
Premieres: Thursday, April 5 at 10/9c
If Crossroads isn't sufficient proof that Shonda Rhimes can produce non-medical projects, then this ought to do the
trick. Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) is a professional \and ex-White House staffer who starts her own crisis management firm. (The character is based on real-life consultant Judy Smith, who has handled aspects of the Iran Contra investigation, the Los Angeles riots and the Monica Lewinsky scandal.) The cast includes Tony Goldwyn (as the president), Henry Ian Cusick, Columbus Short, Guillermo Diaz, Darby Stanchfield and The West Wing's Josh Malina, who should have no problem with the show's rapid-fire dialogue.
Touch (Fox) 触摸未来
Premieres: Thursday, March 22 at 9/8c
Ever wonder what it'd be like if Jack Bauer didn't have a daughter who got caught in a cougar trap, but instead had
an autistic son who gets a hankering to climb a cell tower every afternoon at the same time? Then this show — created by Heroes' Tim Kring — is for you! Kiefer Sutherland returns to TV as Martin Bohm, a widower and father to Jake (David Mazouz), his mute, autistic son who can predict future bad events. It is then up to Martin to stop them from happening. Yup, it's another race against time to save the world! Except Kiefer will be able to change clothes and take bathroom breaks this time.
Veep (HBO) 我是总统
Premieres: Sunday, April 22 at 10/9c
It's an election year and Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) will take office as our new vice president. Unfortunately
for the former senator, she soon discovers that the job is not what she expected it to be. (Imagine if she had become POTUS!) At least she's got her right-hand man Gary (Tony Hale), Chief of Staff Amy (Anna Chlumsky) and assistant Sue (Sufe Bradshaw) to help her navigate the D.C. waters. And if she's anything like Air Force One's Kathryn Bennett, we'd re-elect her in a heartbeat.
