Abstract

To develop investment banking business actively and to achieve connection between commercial banking and capital market operations is a strategic option which Chinese commercial banks choose in order to meet the challenges,and enhance their core competitiveness,and promote the structural adjustment of operating.Now for the commercial bank's investment banking business which is still at the exploratory stage,despite a good start,However,there are some problems that need to attract attention. This article introduces the domestic market potential, To learn from the experience abroad discusses in detail the necessity,the feasibility, and how about the business in the present studies. Meeting the main problems, such as: scope of activities are limited, lack of professionals, blind policy laws and regulations, the correlated risks of traditional business, etc. and the corresponding strategy,for example: making actions about a system of rating and admitting system to investment banking business, enhancing the establishment of human resource, completing the system of risk internal control and the external monitor mechanism, etc. So that making a study about current situation of the commercial bank¡¯s investment banking business in china, and making a forecast on development trends.
