（1）I’ve ever known 是定语从句，省略了关系代词that, 修饰先行词character。
（2）当关系代词前有形容词最高级或序数词修饰时，关系代词只能用that。当that在定语从句中作宾语时，可以省略。如：
This is the best book(that)I have ever read. 这是我读过的最好的书。 That was the first job(that)Tom found. 那是汤姆找到的第一份工作。
