1．掌握九种状语从句的用法（即时间状语从句、地点状语从句、原因状语从句、条件状语从句、目的状语从句、结果状语从句、比较状语从句、方式状语从句和让步状语从句） 2．状语从句中的紧缩形式 重点扫描 种类 连接词 注意点 when, whenever, while, as, before, after, since, 主句表示将来意义时，从句须用一般现在时间 until, till, by the time, as soon as, hardly…when, 时；while引导的从句中动词一般是延续状语 no sooner…than, the moment, the minute, the 性的；until用在肯定句中主句动词是延续instant, immediately, directly, instantly 性的，而否定句中主句动词为短暂性的。 地点 状语 where, wherever 原因 状语 because, as, since, now that because语气最强，since较弱，表示大家都明了的原因，as又次之。 条件 if, unless, once, in case, as long as, on condition 从句中动词时态不可用将来时，常用一般状语 that, suppose/ supposing, provided / providing 时代替。 目的 so that和in order that后常接may, should, 状语 so that, in order that, for fear that could, would等情态动词。 结果 状语 so…that, such…that 在非正式文体中有时that可以省略。 比较 状语 than, as…as, not so/as…as, the more…the more 方式 as if 和as though状语 as if, as though, as 引导的从句一般用虚拟语气。 as, though, although, even if, even though, no 让步 matter what, whatever, no matter who, whoever, as在让步状语从句中常用倒装形式；状语 no matter which, whichever, no matter how, although和though用正常语序，可和yethowever, no matter when, whenever 连用，但不可和but连用。 关于状语从句的几点注意： 1．when可用作并列连词，意为“在那时，在这时”，相当于and at this/ that time。常用于下列句式： 1) Somebody was doing … when…

2) Somebody was about to do / going to do / on the point of doing … when… 3) Somebody had just done … when… 2．when还可表示原因，意为“既然”。如：

It was foolish of you to take a taxi when you could easily walk there in five minutes. 3．while 可作为并列连词，意为“而，却”，表示对比转折。

4．while还可引导让步状语从句，相当于though / although 引导的让步状语从句。

5．no sooner… than…和hardly/ scarcely… when …表示“一……就……”，在此结构中主句常用过去完成时，than和when 引导的句子谓语动词用一般过去时。当no sooner和hardly/ scarcely提到句首时，应用倒装语序。

6．every time, each time, next time, the first time ,the instant等名词短语用来引导时间状语从句时前不可加介词。同时，immediately , directly, instantly等副词也可以引导时间状语从句。

7．在时间状语从句、条件状语从句和让步状语从句中，当从句的主语和主句的主语一致并且含有be动词时，常把从句的主语和be动词省略。

1) It was / will be + 一段时间 + before 从句. (多久之后…将…)

2) It is / has been +一段时间 + since从句.

（表示的时间从since从句的动作完成或状态结束时算起）

3) It was / will be + 点时间 + when从句 (此句中when引导时间状语从句，表示“当……时候”)
