Recently we’ve had a discussion about whether teenagers should be allowed to read online novels.

Some are for it. They say most online novels are about real life in school. The words are easy and the stories are interesting, which make readers quite relaxed. So they suggest online novels should be served as out-of-class reading materials.

However, others disagree. They believe that online novels are mostly about violence and sex, which are bad for teenagers. Those who often read them will find it hard to concentrate on their lessons in class. They’ll gradually lose interest in learning.

In my view, online novels keep up with the times and open up our minds. But we should not spend too much time reading them. After all, work must be first.
