When I was four, I remember my mom buying me phonic（有声音的）workbooks. I completed all the workbooks. I taught myself phonics by doing them. I went to elementary school during the whole language movement. I don’t remember much about actually learning to read, however, I do have many memories with a book constantly in my hand. I remember checking almost every chapter book out of our school library, visiting the book store and public library and spending hours looking at books. Luckily for me, reading was something that I was always interested in and something that 1 still love to do today.
