2012 Morgan Stanley Investment Banking Division Summer Analyst Program – Hong Kong

Overview: Investment Banking

Morgan Stanley is a worldwide leader in investment banking and is one of the top firms in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), underwriting of equity and equity-related transactions, corporate debt issuance, and high-yield debt financing. With over 2,000 professionals in 30 countries, we are consistently recognized for our performance in both traditional and innovative financing techniques, helping a wide range of clients around the world to make and execute decisions about their business strategy and financial structure.

Placement and Duration

Our Summer Analyst program runs for ten weeks and is designed to provide a realistic view of Investment Banking by having Summer Analysts assume the functions of full-time Analysts. You are typically assigned to a specific group where you will work on a variety of transactions. Along the way, you will obtain a strong foundation in the basic skills of financial analysis and deal execution. You will be expected to start learning how to market the firm’s products and services effectively.

Training Program

This intensive ten-week program generally commences in June each year. You begin with a Firmwide orientation to Morgan Stanley’s business and three days of formal classroom training on our Investment Banking division. Your training will continue throughout the summer with structured learning sessions run by senior executives. Similarly, you will have many opportunities to integrate with peers and senior staff through a series of networking, social, charity and mentoring events.

Responsibilities

The work is challenging, and Analysts are encouraged to roll up their sleeves, dig into financial statements and construct innovative solutions. Assignments vary depending upon group placement but typically include:

? Analyzing financial and operating information relating to corporations and industries

? Creating statistical exhibits that analyze comparative financial performance ? Building models to depict projected financial results and to value companies ? Developing marketing memoranda

? Participating actively in the execution of financings and/or M&A transactions

Interview Process

First rounds with an IBD Business Representative take place either on campus or over the phone, and final round interviews typically involve few rounds of 30-minute interviews at Morgan Stanley offices in New York, San Francisco, Hong Kong or Beijing.

? You are a University rising junior year or first year Masters student with outstanding academic standing; preference given towards financial/business related studies. Students must graduate between December 2011 and June 2013 to be eligible.

? You have oral and written fluency in English, and fluency in Mandarin or Korean is advantageous.

? You are a team player with a strong work ethic who thrives with confidence on intellectual challenges.

? You have strong analytical skills and the ability to grasp complex data, manage multiple projects, provide complicated financial analysis and develop appropriate corpor

经外交部同意，联合国协会世界联合会、瑞典驻华大使馆委托中国联合国协会与北京外国语大学，于2011年12月1日在北京承办纪念联合国前秘书长哈马舍尔德国际会议，探讨国际重要政治问题。此次会议为期俩天，届时将有超过120名来自联合国总部、联合国驻华机构、瑞典王国政府、各国驻华使团、周边国家的外交官、学者和重要NGO的负责人及学生团体参加会议；外交部、中国联协和中央部委、学术团体也将派出高级别的官员参加会议。
