Destination: The Republic of Palau

General information : 是太平洋上的岛国，帕劳由一个大堡礁和无数小岛和较小堡礁构成。

主岛本身其实也由多个小堡礁构成，较大的有安加尔、Babeldaob (Babelthuap)、Koror、Peleliu。。1994年10月1日从美国的托管统治下独立。支柱产业是渔业和旅游

业. 2006年10月7日，帕劳将首都由科罗尔(Koror)迁至梅莱凯奥克(Melekeok），面

积仅28平方公里，人口391(2000年)。

National flag ：帕劳国旗呈长方形，长与宽之比为8:5。旗地为蓝色，象征海洋。中间偏左处有一轮金色圆月，象征民族团结和结束外国统治。本国旗启用于1981年1月1日。

1994年10月1日，帕劳共和国宣布独立。

1994年12月15日，帕劳成为联合国第185个成员国。

Population: 2．1万人（2009年）。70%人口是当地土著密克罗尼西亚人种，其余主要是菲律宾人，中国人约200人，多来自台湾地区。世界上最缺少女的国家之一。 Economy: 帕劳人的收入比菲律宾和绝大多数密克罗尼西亚人高两倍。帕劳的人均GDP达$8900，是太平洋岛国中最富有的国家之一。

它的海水共有7种不同的颜色，让每一个见过它的游客都赞叹不已。究其原因，是由于帕劳的海水清澈无污染而其海底景观造型奇特，一会儿是黑黑的礁石，一会儿是斑斓的软硬珊瑚，抑或是细细沙砾，还有远古时代沉积的火山灰，这一切都被清澄的海水毫无保留地映上了海面，于是就有了这养眼的色彩。据说，世界上很多广告公司都选择到这里来拍广告片。

奇妙水母湖，拥有独一无二的无毒水母, 水母湖是帕劳最具特色的景点之一。

在数万年前，水母湖曾是海的一部分，由于地壳运动，周围的海床升高，逐渐将它与外海隔绝，形成了一个看似普通的内陆咸水湖。其不普通在于，湖中大多数海洋生物都随着养分的消耗而消亡，只剩下了一种低等的、靠少量微生物就可以生存的海洋生物——水母。由于天敌们的消失，这些水母“遗失”了祖先用以防卫自身的武器——身体内的毒素。这样，帕劳水母湖拥有了世界上独一无二的无毒水母。 无毒水母为食草性，主要是靠海藻分泌的营养素维生，因此水母散发着淡淡的橘色光茫，湖中亦有大群的银面鱼及透明的月亮水母，全都是温和无毒的。 在这里，游客不必像在别处大海中看到水母时要转身逃跑，以免被蜇伤，反而可以抱着它们照相、嬉戏。
