特别提示

1.How do you get to…是用来询问对方如何到达某地的常用询问方式，常用回答方式如： I walk to schoo1．／I get to school on foot．我步行到校。

I ride my bike to schoo1．／I get to school by bike．我骑自行车到校。 I take the bus to schoo1．／I get to school by bus．我乘公共汽车到校。 I take the subway to schoo1．／I get to school by subway．我乘地铁到校。 I take the train to schoo1．／I get to school by train．我乘火车到校。 I take the car to schoo1．／I get to school by car．我坐小汽车到校。

take是动词，by是介词，take后的交通工具前有限定词，而by后的交通工具没有，且用单数。

【拓展】表示“乘坐某种交通工具”还可以用“on / in + 限定词 + 表示交通工具的名词”。如：She often goes to school on the school bus. 她经常乘校车去上学。 He sometimes goes to school in his father’s car. 他有时坐爸爸的汽车去上学。

2. another，(the)other与the others ，

(1)another指三个或三个以上人或事物中的另一个，只能修饰单数名词。

The T-shirt is too small．Can you show me another(one)?这件T恤衫太小，再给我一件看看好吗?

(2)(the)other有两种用法，当the other与one一起使用时，可用来指已知的两个人或事物中的另一个。

One of my parents is an engineer and the other is a teacher．我父母一个是工程师，另一个是教师。

其他情况下，other用作形容词，修饰复数名词，当指一定范围内的其他人或物时，可在其前加the。

The visitors come from Beijing，Shanghai，Xi'an and some other big cities of China．参观者来自北京、上海、西安和中国其他一些大城市。

(3)(the)others相当于(the)other+名词，它相当于一个名词短语，可单独在句中作主语、宾语等，不能作修饰语。在指一定范围内的剩余部分时，其前加定冠词the。

There are many people in the park．Some are walking．some are playing games，and others are boating．公园里有许多人，有的在散步，有的在做游戏，其余的在划船。 3. arrive in+大地点 arrive at+小地点 reach+地点

get to+地点，get+副词（here、there、home） eg. I arrive at school at 7:00 every morning. I reach school at 7:00 every morning. I get to school at 7:00 every morning.

4. a number of 许多，若干 后接可数名词复数，谓语动词也用复数。number前可加small及large/great表示少量的及大量的。

the number of 表示…的数量，其后谓语动词用单数。 eg. A small number of students go to school by car. The number of students in our class is 57.

5. It + takes sb + some time + to do sth 表示做某事花了某人多少时间。如: It took me half a day to do my homework. 做作业花了我半天时间。 在英语中表花费的词还有很多, 如: pay, spend, cost 等。

1) sb + pay + 金钱 + for + 物 表示某人花钱买某物。如:

She’s paying 50 yuan for the dictionary. 她要花50元买这本字典。

2) sb + spend +时间/金钱 (in) doing sth. 如: 他玩了两小时电子游戏。 He spent two hours (in) playing computer games.

3) sb + spend +时间/金钱 on sth. 如: 她买那条裙子花了150元。 She spent 150 yuan on the skirt.

4) sth.+ costs + sb.+ some time/money. 如：那条裙子花了她150元。 The skirt cost her 150 yuan.

6. leave for 表示“动身去……”如: 他明天要去北京。 She’s leaving for Beijing tomorrow.

leave A for B 是离开A到B 如: 她明天要离开上海去日本。 She’s leaving Shanghai for Japan tomorrow.
