Attention
Attention基本含义是“注意；注意力；照顾；关心”，我们尤其要关注这个词语动词的搭配和使用。 1）“谁注意…”，可以这样搭配：
Later he turned his attention to the desperate state of housing in the province. 其后，他将注意力转向了该省形势严峻的住房问题。
She tried to pay attention to what he was saying. 她尽力注意去听他在说什么。
If you paid more attention in class, you might actually learn something! 要是你在课堂上多注意听讲，你应该可以学到一些知识。

动词（四）
动词主要作谓语，当然还有不作谓语的“非谓语动词”（不定式、动名词、现在分词、过去非此），这里主要说作谓语的动词。
动词所构成的句型，语法上一般有五类： 1）主语+不及物动词
2）主语+及物动词+宾语
3）主语+及物动词+间接宾语+直接宾语 4）主语+及物动词+宾语+宾语补足语 5）主语+系动词+表语（主语补足语）
句子的分类基本上有简单句、并列句（两个或多个分句并列）、复合句（主句和从句）。记住这五大句型，就是所谓句子的“主干”，有一个最大的好处，任何长难句复杂句的解剖就变得易如反掌了：任何句子（包括并列句的分句，复合句的分句）都有主干，都一定有作谓语的动词，并且一般都只有一个可以作谓语的动词（并列谓语结构例外）。
请分析下面两个句子的结构，尤其是主干结构，并翻译： 例29．
The standardized educational or psychological tests that are widely used to aid in selecting, classifying, assigning, or promoting students, employees, and military personnel have been the target of recent attacks in books, magazines, the daily press, and even in congress.
