第一课时 Teaching aims（教学目标） 1. Learn to talk about past event 2. Learn to the past progressive tense. Teaching main and difficult points.(教学重难点） 1.Master the key words and phrases. 2.Learn to talk about the past events ,using the target language. Teaching procedures（教学步骤） : Step 1 Leading in（导入话题，激活背景知识） 1.Greetings and free-talk . 2.Check the Homework . 3.Dictate the words in Unit 2 . Step 2 Pre-task（任务前活动）. 1.Ask some students to do different things in front of the class and practice talking with the class : T: What is/are ………doing? Ss: ..…is/are playing basketball. Help the students revise the present progressive tense? 2.Help the students learn the past progressive tense by asking the following question: What was he/she doing just now? What were they doing ? What was…doing when…came in ? 语法：过去进行时态的构成: was / were + doing . 用法:表示过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在进行的动作，一般用时间状语来表示 3.Look at the picture of page 18.Point out the six people .Match the statements with the people in the picture . 4.Check the answers . 5.Practice reading .
