Money really can’t buy happiness. A new survey has found that well-paid white-collar workers are more likely to suffer depression.
A national survey of more than 7000 professionals has found that almost one in 10 people reported depressive symptoms.
The lawyers had the worst problem. with almost 30 percent reporting symptoms of heavy depression, followed by people in IT services at 20 percent. It is also reported that those middle aged people had the highest rates of depression compared with teens who were mainly bothered by study and friendship issues. People over 50 seem to have already found ways to adapt to the situations thus, experiencing less depression.
These professionals base their whole hope on being successful in their work and when it doesn’t live up to expectations, they will feel depressed.
And what’s worse, afraid of losing face, victims are usually unwilling to seek outside help and tend to hide their problems from others. Instead, they turn to drugs and alcohol for help, which will eventually make their situation worse and hurt their physical health. In fact, people are experiencing so much work pressure in today’s competitive society that no one should feel ashamed about being stressed and the best solution for every depressed worker is to ask for help from people around you rather than suffer in silence. Listeners, today we are talking about the so-called killer Bess you’ve no doubt heard about. They are actually Africanized Honey Bees. These bees are the same species as the familiar European honey bees which produce honey. They are called Africanized honey bees because they are the children of European bees and African bees. They are also referred to as killer bees in the media due to their defensive behaviors. Today people can often hear the cases where people are hurt by killer bees, Africanized Honey bees originated in the southern part of Africa. And they were then brought to South America and entered the United States in 1990.
Many people expect Africanized honey bees to be larger and very unique, but in fact, they look quite normal. They are about 3/4 inch long, brownish and a little hairy. And you should also know that those black creatures with yellow markings are probably spiders not bees. These honey bees are not born to be killers and they are not fierce unless they feel that their safety is threatened.
