1.perk vi. 振作起来（尤指病后或曾消沉）；昂起（头）；n. 额外收入

【例】She seemed kind of tired， but she perked up when Helen came over.

2.perjury n 伪证；假誓 = forswear

【记】per（表面）＋jure（发誓）→发假誓

【例】When several witnesses appeared to challenge his story， he was indicted for perjury.

3.perish v （在暴力下或以突然的方式）死；渐渐消失

【记】pe破，rish读：瑞士-瑞士是生活的地方，但破瑞士就不一样了，是死人的地方。 【参】perishable（adj 容易腐烂的）；perishing（adj 冻死人的；可憎的）

【例】Thousands of people perished in the earthquake. 那次地震死者数以千计.

4.periphery n 外围；不重要的部分?
