1.perk vi. 振作起来(尤指病后或曾消沉);昂起(头);n. 额外收入
【例】She seemed kind of tired, but she perked up when Helen came over.
2.perjury n 伪证;假誓 = forswear
【记】per(表面)+jure(发誓)→发假誓
【例】When several witnesses appeared to challenge his story, he was indicted for perjury.
3.perish v (在暴力下或以突然的方式)死;渐渐消失
【记】pe破,rish读:瑞士-瑞士是生活的地方,但破瑞士就不一样了,是死人的地方。 【参】perishable(adj 容易腐烂的);perishing(adj 冻死人的;可憎的)
