India’s Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. It’s near the Yamuna River. People from different countries go to visit it every year.
The Taj Mahal is about 400 years old. Shah Jahan, built it for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. He brought more than 20,000 workmen and over 1,000 elephants together to work on the building. The workmen started building it in 1632 and finished building it in 1653.
But the white building has a problem. Earlier, it was getting yellow. Now, it is becoming brown and green. People throw rubbish into the Yamuna River. Last week the electricity in my flat went out. I had just got home from work and was happily making dinner. Suddenly, it was dark everywhere. The lights had gone out and my phone was no longer charging (充电).This left me a whole night without any electricity. I wasn11 really sure what to do.
