一个在初中英语教学中渗透德育元素的案例
一、主题 如今,生活在大城市的孩子大多衣食无忧,物质的供给充足,可在品德素养方面却存在缺陷,尤其是缺乏关爱他人的意识和行为。品德教育不是一朝一夕能完成的,更不只是班主任、政治老师的任务。英语教材中有着大量的有关邻里关系、慈善救助等内容。笔者认为英语教师如果能抓住这些内容对学生进行有效的英语教学,则既能丰富学生的英语知识,提高学生的英语能力,又能收到意想不到的品德教育效果。 二、背景
2013年3月我新接了一个班的英语教学,经过两个多月的教学,这个班的整体英语水平有了大幅提高,美中不足的是,通过观察课堂活动和课下行为,我发现该班大部分学生习惯以自我为中心,缺乏关爱他人的意识和行为,班级打扫卫生时很多同学不愿干脏活累活,课堂上小组活动时经常因为任务分配不均而吵吵闹闹。
三、教学过程 Step1 Lead-in
I showed some pictures to help my students to learn the new words.
Students talked about the pictures and read the new words.
以学生感兴趣的图片导入本课,吸引学生的注意力,帮助学生学习新单词。
Step2 Presentation
Students watched a video about the comic strip and answered some questions.
Students read and acted the dialogue.
从单词的学习自然而然地过渡到漫画的学习中来,观看录像便于学生更好地理解漫画内容,重点理解can的用法,便于下面活动的开展。 Step3 Free talk
Students worked in pairs to have a free talk: What abilities do you have?
What abilities do your classmates have? Step4 Discussion Part A
T: What can we do for the others in the park? S1: We can clean up the park.
T: What can we do for the others on the road? S2: We can help the old people and children cross the road.
T: What can we do for the others on the bus? S3: We can give our seats to other people.
T: What can we do for the others at school? S4: We can help each other and learn from each other. T: What can we do for the others in our community? S5: We can do some shopping for the old people. S6: We can look after little children for their parents.

此处运用了头脑风暴的方法,学生积极开动脑筋,给出不同的答案。
T: But sometimes some people do like this.我用电脑播放了一些不文明现象的图片 e.g.
Students watched the pictures and laughed. T: Are they performing correctly?
T: Have you ever done like that? Will you perform like that?
Ss: Er.../No...
此时,有学生大声地回答“不”“没有”;有部分学生迟迟疑疑地支吾着,还有部分学生脸上露出尴尬的神色。 Step5 Practise
Part A: I showed some pictures and said: We talked
about what we can do around us just now, but as we know, there are many children in poor areas. What can we do for them?
S1: We can give them some money. S2: We can send them some clothes. S3: We can buy some stationery for them. S4: ...
Then students finished Part B on Page 81.
经过第四环节的头脑风暴和图片对比学习,到本环节时学生能想到的帮助他人的方法越来越多,语言的输出量也会越来越大,情绪上也受到感染。 Part B
I showed some pictures of Ya’an Earthquake and said: Now what can we do for the people in Ya’an? Please work in groups of four and talk about what we can do. 我播放的雅安地震的一些画面让学生再次震惊。学生都沸腾起来,有的学生甚至掏出了书包里的零花钱。每个小组都想出多种帮助灾民的方法。语言的输出量很大,学生关爱他人的情感达到了高潮。

Students did some exercises to grasp some useful expressions in this lesson.
Step7 Homework 四、结论
本节课先从自己的能力谈起,后来谈论日常生活中能为身边的人提供哪些帮助,进而讨论我们能为贫困地区的儿童提供哪些救助,最后探讨我们能为雅安灾区提供哪些爱心援助。随着教学步骤的推进,在学生的语言表达能力、思维能力提升的同时,爱的本能也得到激发,学生对他人的关爱意识和品质都得到了不同程度的提高。 五、感想
在英语教学的同时进行品德教育,是一个长期的过程,如果各学科老师都能长期坚持德育渗透,那么我们最终培养的必定是高素质、高品质的未来人才。
