My American friend Tom and I went to Beijing by plane last summer. On the first day, we visited the Palace Museum and Tian’anmen Square. The next day, we climbed the Great Wall. We took lots of photos. It was a fantastic experience even though we felt tired. Then we had the Beijing Roast Duck for lunch. I think it is the most delicious food in the world! Tom is interested in Chinese culture, so we drank tea and saw Beijing Opera in the evening. Finally, we did some shopping and flew back. The trip to Beijing was short, but it was wonderful. Tom said that he would never forget it.

On a cold morning, while I was buying some food for breakfast, I saw a girl buying some bread and milk in front of me. When she was going to leave, she found a beggar under the tree, who looked cold and hungry. Without thinking twice she went over to the beggar and gave the food to him. The beggar was so thankful to the girl and kept saying “thank you”. The girl said nothing and went away with a smile. I was moved deeply by that. I thought it was the warmest thing on that cold morning.
