一、教学目标 1. 学习新句型
① Helen Keller was born in America in 1880. ② She became blind and deaf.
③ She couldn’t see and she couldn’t hear.
2. 学习本单元的生词:born, child, as, later, drew, letter, herself, all over, world, model,并能书写could。
3. 能理解课文,准确流利地朗读课文。 4. 培养学生积极的学习态度。
5. 通过学习Helen Keller的故事,学生从中受到教育,懂得在学习和生活中遇到困难要有迎面而上、永不退缩的勇气,要做生活的强者。
二、教学重点与难点 重点:新单词和新句型。
难点:能理解课文,准确流利地朗读课文。 三、教学用具 多媒体课件 四、教学过程 Step 1 Warm up 1.Greetings.
2. 说出下列动词的过去式。
learn—learned live—lived is—was are—were can—could can’t—couldn’t write—wrote go—went
see—saw become—became have/has—had (复习本课动词的过去式,给新课做铺垫。) Step 2 Introduce the new lesson
1.T: Today,we’ll know a great women. (教师利用多媒体课件出示Helen Keller生前的部分照片。)
简介海伦·凯勒(Helen Keller),美国盲聋哑女作家和残障教育家。是一位学识渊博,掌握英、法、德、拉丁、希腊五种文字的著名作家和教育家。主要作品有《假如给我三天光明》、《我的生活》、《我的老师》等。

3.Learn the text. Paragraph 1.
1)Watch the CAI and read.
学习“年”的读法,如1880: eighteen eighty,然后读出下面的年份:1990,1940,1882,1890
2)Lead to read. 3)Translate and read.
抽生翻译句子,并重点朗读以下句子。
Helen Keller was born in America in 1880.As a small child,she became blind and deaf. She couldn’t see and she couldn’t hear.
板书:As a small child: She couldn’t see. She couldn’t hear. 4) 用couldn't说话:
他不会唱歌。He couldn't sing. 她不会游泳。She couldn't swim.
小刚不会写字。Xiaogang couldn't write.
小勇不会吹小号。Xiaoyong couldn't play the trumpet. 我不会画画。I couldn't draw.
5)A game:让学生闭上眼睛写字,看看写得如何。 Paragraph 2.
1)Watch the CAI and repeat. 2)Translate and read.
The teacher drew letters in Helen’s hand. Helen learned to speak. Paragraph 3.

Later she learned to read.She could also write. She wrote a book about herself. She went all over the world.

Step 3 Game
破译句子密码:Find sentences in the story.
T: The rules of the game: There are some letters on the CAI. Each letter is the first letter of a word. They make up a sentence in the text. Guess the sentence in three minutes.
学生按座位分组,每组一个密码。 1. HKwbiA. 2. Aasc,sch. 3. Scs. 4. Lscr. 5. Scaw. 6. Swaotw.
(游戏使得学生在放松娱乐的同时,感受Helen Keller成长的不容易。) Step 4 思想教育
CAI出示一些名人照片——中国著名的舞蹈家邰丽华,著名作家张海迪,让学生懂得在学习和生活中遇到困难要像她们一样有迎面而上、永不退缩的勇气,要做生活的强者。
Step 5 Homework
1.Retell the story to your friends and your relatives. 2. Read the book “Three days to see.” by Helen Keller.
