德国哲学家海德格尔把作诗的本质理解为人在大地上的栖居，栖居的过程是认同于脚下的土地，归属于大地、并在天地中定位的过程。栖居使人成其为人，使大地成为大地，居使人的生活具有意义，这样的栖居本身具有诗意。理想的居住环境，应该取于大自然，回归于大自然，融入大自然。为了创造良好的生态环境，为了人类的健康，为了把居住环境建设得更美丽，我们需要不断探索充实以人为本的设计新概念。
