spend(spent)、cost、take(took)、pay(paid) 花费 1、spend的主语通常是人，花费时间或金钱

(sb) spend some money/some time on sth. /(in) doing sth

Eg. I spent fifty yuan on the coat. = I spent fifty yuan (in) buying the coat. He spent three days on the work. = He spend three days (in) doing the work. 2、take常用于“占用、花费”时间,其主语通常为形式主语“it”或物. It takes/took sb.some time to do sth＝Sth.takes sb.some time. 例如： Eg. It took me three years to draw the picture.

The work will take me two days.. 这个工作将花费我两天时间。 3、pay为“付款、赔偿”之意,用于金钱，主语通常是人 sb. pay (sb) some money for sth

Eg. He paid the doctor 50 yuan for the medicine? 他付给医生50元买药。 How much did you pay him? 你付他多少钱? 4、cost的主语必须是某物，花费时间或金钱 sth.cost (sb.) some money/time

Eg. A new computer costs a lot of money.

A Plan for a Trip

Tomorrow morning, I’d like to go to the countryside for a trip because the environment there is quite good. The air there is fresh, and I can enjoy a quiet life. The food and vegetables are good, too. I’m going to stay in the countryside for a week. I plan to go there by bike. In this way, I can take exercise as well. When I go there, I’ll take some school things, like books, pens, pencils and so on. I decide to give them to the poor students in the countryside. And I’ll try my best to help them with their study. I think I’ll be very tired but I’ll enjoy myself.
