I always had the best intentions of packing my lunch, but putting this healthy habit into practice was a different story.I was always jealous when I would see my co-workers with their cute food containers full of fresh ingredients(食材).Occasionally,I would be inspired to have a productive Sunday afternoon when I would cook my favorite food, but once Wednesday passed,I would be back on the street, trying to figure out what sounded good to eat. However,to form the habit of packing my lunch is not an easy thing. At first, the idea of packing my lunch felt like a sacrifice, but since I started bringing healthy food to work,I have not given it up.I'm able to bring foods that are rich in fiber and protein, and I avoid ingredients that make my blood sugar rise sharply. This was the big kicker for me to keep this healthy habit for good. Portion(份量)control has always been a big issue for me.If there is food on my plate,I'm going to eat it.By packing my own lunch,I'm easily able to manage portions and know my ingredient choices.Eating a cleaner and lighter lunch not only supports my general weight-loss goals, but it also makes space for the occasional weeknight dinner out that I can enjoy freely. When developing my budget for 2017,I made a point to get real about the large expenses I did not even realize. Until I looked at my credit card statement,I had no idea how much money I was spending on my lunch every week. It's hard in the big city to find something that's fresh, nutritious, and filling for under $ 10.That's $ 50 a week I could be saving...Quite a sum of money, isn't it?

24.What can we know from the first paragraph? A.Saying is one thing, and doing another. B.Failure is the mother of success. C.Actions speak louder than words. A.saves the time to buy ingredients B.stops having dinner out on weekends C.can eat in a cleaner and lighter way D.makes room for her weight-loss training 27.We can conclude from the last paragraph that packing her lunch to work in a sense . A.has helped reduce her life expenses B.has kept her blood sugar going up sharply C.increases her chance to use the credit card D.makes her get used to the life in big

Every generation of teenagers is expert at finding new ways of driving their parents mad. When I was young it was a simple matter of under-age drinking, unsuitable boyfriends or long conversations on the telephone, which could be easily seen by the entire family. These days the technology of parent-crazing is absolutely more complicated.Today's teenagers conduct their rebellions(叛逆)online, watching YouTube clips, posting private images on their Facebook pages and seeking friends with strange hobbies, which are enough to freeze their parents' blood. Danah Boyd,a Harvard academic, spent seven years being absorbed in teenage culture, attempting to explain young people to the adults who worry about them.Boyd interviewed 166 adolescents about their online lives, hung out with teens in public places and spent countless hours observing teens. From these interviews, she intended to explain the aspects of teenaged online behaviour that adults find most unacceptable. Teenagers are normally considered by the society as “public threats or targets easily harmed”.However, the youths interviewed by Boyd argued that they would prefer to interact directly, but that their parents' concern for their safety and the loss of public spaces limited them to the home. The Internet has become their alternative meeting place. Many writers couldn't resist reading Boyd's findings.Boyd's analysis of teenage life is realistic and profound. After reading much of what she discovers, most parents can give a sigh of relief. The kids are all right, but they want to be understood. They are not so different from their parents after all.

28.The author writes the first two paragraphs to . A.express the public's concern about the Internet B.explain how complicated the society has become

C.warn us of the danger the Internet brings to people D.show today's teenage rebellions are different from the past 29.What's the author's attitude to Boyd's research?

A.favorable B.doubtful C.indifferent D.critical 30.According to Danah Boyd, . A.young people have lost interest in public spaces

B.parents are partly responsible for teenaged online behavior C.surfing the Internet at home should be limited most of the time D.all the children are actually free from the bad effect of the Internet 31.What's the purpose of the author's writing the passage? A.To discuss how modern technology influences teenagers. B.To introduce Danah Boyd's research on networked teenagers. C.To analyze the reasons why teens are lost in the Internet. D.To criticize those parents who misunderstand their children.

When my book Quiet came out,I took a global book tour and gave over 300 media interviews and dozens of speeches. The reaction to the book was beyond my wildest dreams.I felt like the luckiest person in the world and one of the most exhausted, too. As I crisscrossed the planet,I told myself that soon I'd be back in my comfortable place and dream up a new book project. But during those months of non-stop travel,I began to hear from people from all over the world, from aged nine to ninety, from artists and CEOs.They all said the same thing: Until now, they had felt alone and were amazed to discover that they were not alone. For the first time in their lives, they had permission to be themselves. They weren't writing just to express relief-they wanted to take actions. They wanted to connect with a community of like-minded people. They wanted to start a quiet revolution. I was thrilled by this reaction, but I was also torn.I love the simple act of writing.I wanted to get back to that life. However, there weren't enough hours in the day to do what I love,to spend time with the people I love-and to start a revolution. Then it occurred to me: I didn't have to do this by myself. When you're starting a revolution, you need a team who can help translate your vision into action. So I joined forces with an amazing group of people, and together we created Quiet Revolution to unlock the power trapped inside people for the benefit of us all. This site is our first effort. We've spent the last year asking you what you wanted online and built this website based on your feedback. There's plenty here to check out and plenty more to come.We look forward to your feedback over the coming months and years. 32.What does the passage mainly talk about?

A.How Quiet Revolution occurred to the author. B.What the author's new book Quiet was about.

C.Why readers reacted strongly to the new book. D.Who helped create Quiet Revolution.

33.We can conclude from the second paragraph that . A.the author found it hard to start a revolution

B.the readers' response to the book Quiet was very warm C.the author was always devoted to her writing project D.more and more people wanted to write their own books 34.Which of the following is the correct time order? a.We collected feedbacks and created the site. b.The book Quiet came out.

c.I felt it difficult to make a decision. d.Readers reacted strongly to the new book. A.bdca B.bdac C.bcad D.badc

35.According to the passage,Quiet Revolution will be a platform where . A.the author can write her new books with her team B.the author can get feedback about her
