1、Conference Background

With the severe situation of the global energy supply and increasing concerning of environment protection, it has significant to develop the gas energy such as natural gas, coalbed methane, and gas hydrate economically and efficiently.

During the development of the gas energy, there are many technical problems which need to be solved. It is essential to initiate a technical conference on gas energy in the international scope.

The International Symposium will be held in Beijing from Nov, 30, 2007 to Dec, 3, 2007, sponsored by the Beijing Society of Petroleum Engineering, China University of Petroleum (Beijing), and Natural Gas Committee of the Chinese Society of Petroleum Engineering.

3、Abstract Requirement

The author should submit an English abstract of paper which has 300 -500 words (the domestic author should also submit a Chinese abstract). The abstract should be prominent, concise and explicit, which can reflect the paper’s main content and research level. The experts will evaluate the papers by the abstract. The e-mail to the linkman is welcomed.

（1） All units used in paper must submit to the international or national standard in English, for example km, kg. Date in paper (year, month, day) should be expressed with Arabic figures.

（2） Please send the paper to the linkman of the meeting before Nov, 5, 2007. Make sure that the abstract must list the Author’s brief introduction, including: name, sex, date of birth, address and unit affiliation, office, the title of a post, degree, the technical field you engaged in, postal code, e-mail, phone number..
