Continue to learn the knowledge of keeping healthy. 教学重点 教学难点 1.How to learn the new words and master the words that have learnt. 2.How to master these sentences to communicate with others fluently. How to make the Ss live in a healthy way and help each other when they are in trouble. 教 学 随 笔 教 学 过 程 Step1. Greeting and revision 1. Greet the whole class as usual. 2. Revision T: Oh! They all have matters. What about you ? What’s the matter with you ? S1: I have a … T: Maybe you should …but you shouldn’t… S1: That’s a good idea. (Turn to S2) What’s the matter with you? S2: I have a/an… S1: Maybe you should /shouldn’t… S2: That’s a good idea. ( Turn to S3) … Step2. Presentation 1. see sb. doing sth. What are they doing? (Ask the Ss to describe the two people in the picture) Fill in the blanks in the conversation. 2. Read the conversation. 3. Practice the conversation of 3a. 4. Do 3b. T: Now look at the picture of 3b. There are a lot of patients in the doctor’s room. Are they feeling well? What’s the matter with them? What advice should the doctor give them? Use the picture below to make new conversations. You can make the conversations according to the conversation in 3a. Give the Ss some minutes to prepare and then ask some pairs to act it out. Step4. Game Ask some of the Ss to come to the blackboard to act like patients and the others are doctors. The patients mimes an illness one by one. And the doctors guess: what s the matter with him/her? And then give them some advice. Have a competition between the groups. Ask like this: A: What’s the matter ? Do you have a …? B: No, I don’t. C: Do you have a…? B: Yes, I do. C: You should …/You shouldn’t… Step5. Homework 1. Copy the new words. 2. Make a new conversation according to 3a on their exercise books. 教 学 后 记

Be able to understand the passage about the accident. 2. Learn to talk about health problems and accidents and give advice by using “should/ shouldn’t”. 教学难点 1. Learn to talk about health problems and accidents and give appropriate advice. 2. Learn how to get information from the passage and train students’ reading and writing skill. 教 学 过 程 Step 1 Warming-up T: Greet the class as usual, then point to a student and say: You look pale. What’ s the matter? Help the student answer “I have a cold.” and give him/ her some advice like “You should drink more water”. Step 2 Grammar Focus T: (Show a picture of the boy that has a sore back, and say to the class) This is Mark. He hurt himself playing soccer. Now make a conversation to talk about his problem and give him some advice. (Practice using should/ shouldn’t) A: What’s the matter with Mark? B: He has a sore back. A: Does he have a fever? B: No, he doesn’t. A: What should he do?

B: He should lie down and rest./ He shouldn’t exercise, etc. Show some pictures about other health problems and ask students to work with their partners. Step 3 Practice Ask students to go through each conversation in 4a quickly, and then complete the conversations individually. Move around the classroom and help them if necessary. Check the answers. Step 4 Reading practice Pre-reading: Show the picture in 3a to students. Teach the new words “passenger” and “trouble”. Then have them talk about the picture. While-reading: First, ask students to read the passage and answer the question: Do you think it comes from a newspaper or a book? Have students read the sentences in 3b. Then ask them to read the passage again and check the things that happened in the story. Check the answers with their partners. After-reading: Have students pay attention to the questions in 3c, and then read the passage again and try answering them. Have students discuss the questions in 3c with their partners. Then ask some students to say their answers in class. Encourage them to say their own opinions. Step 5 Summary Help students to sum up how to talk about health problems and give right advice. Ask one or two students to sum up the key phrases in the passage, and help them to make up more sentences with them. Step 6 Homework Have students make up conversations to talk about sb’s. health problems and give them some advice. Have students read the passage and practice retelling the story. 教 学 后 记
