3 Grandpa’s farm “Cocka-doodle-doo.” It is morning on Grandpa’s farm.

“Cluck, cluck, peep, peep. I’m hungry,”

said the chicken.

“Baa, baa. I’m hungry,” said the sheep. “Quack, quack. I am hungry,” said the

ducks.

“Neigh, neigh. I am hungry,” said the

horse. “Moo, moo. I am hungry,” said the cow.

“Oink, oink. I am hungry,” said the pig. “Bark, bark, bark,” said my dog. “Oh, you are hungry too.”

4 A pack of seeds Mum gave me a pack of seeds. “Plant them,”said Mum. I dug a hole in the soil.

I put the seeds into the hole. I covered the hole with soil.

I watered the seeds. I waited and waited.

I saw some stems. I saw some leaves. I saw some buds.

I watered my plants.

I saw some flowers. I watered my flowers. I picked my flowers.

I wrapped my flowers. “Happy birthday, Mummy!”

5The baby in the cart

We put the baby in the shopping cart. We put strawberries and carrots in the

shopping cart. We put sausages and eggs in the

shopping cart. We put onions and bread in the shopping

cart.

“Here are the onions and bread. Here are the sausages and eggs.

Here are the carrots.” “But where are the strawberries?” “The strawberries are in the baby.”
