What's the Pros and Cons of China's Modernization
Development?
In April of 1987, Deng Xiaoping, who served as the factual leader of the People's Republic of China from the late 1970s to the the early 1990s, put forward the three-step stratagem of modernization development. Nowadays, it is in the third step----from a well-off society towards a mid-developed country. However, during the modernization development, there are some pros and cons.
In the first place, I would like to talk about the pros of it. Firstly, in these years, the economic power is becoming stronger. GDP averagely increases by 20% each year. Economic benefit also has been improved. And revenue is increasing per year as well. All the phenomena above, to some extent, can reflect the economic development level. Secondly, in the process of modernization, it is always along with the globalization. After China's accession to the WTO, it becomes easier to communicate with foreign countries, which is a great stage to achieve complementary. Thirdly, it offers much convenience for us and rich our life. For example, in the years of non-internet, people have to research materials in libraries or bookshops, and there is a chance that they
spent much time on it but in vain. Now only if we surf on the internet, we can gain what we need immediately, which is quick and efficient. Apart from this, in this way, knowing more western culture at length is a great opportunity to rich our life. All in all, there are many expressions to reflect its convenience.
Then the cons are as follows: firstly, with the rapid development of economic, the system is always not so sound and sometimes neglected. For instance, comment people have no right place to protect their own rights, because of some unreasonable officials and departments. This is the power of the world. What's more, and many retired people and laid-off workers' rights especially cannot be protected well. Secondly, industrial civilization is developed rapidly while ecological civilization is overlooked. In these years, people have achieved some wishes----the thousand-mile eye, the wind-accompanying ear and \environment will not be what we ever saw. Thirdly, in previous years, the knowledge source is hard to gain while good water and air are easy to ger. However, today knowledge is the cheapest and easiest to achieve because
of the internet while good water and air become the strategic resources.
In a word, everything has two sides, no exception with AAA. The road of China's modernization has been destined to be tortuous, which is normal. I believe it can complete the three-step stratagem successfully.
