Hi，everyone. At the beginning of today's class. I have a question for you. What is the most important thing in our life? Hardwork，knowledge，love, money or luck? Let's work on math to find out.
First，please give a number to each English letter. On the left side of the blackboard, we can see that I is for A, 2 is for B，3 is for C，...and 26 for Z.
Then in this way, you can change any English word into a group of numbers. Look at the word“love”， find the numbers for L，O，V and E.
Next, add all the numbers，12＋15＋22＋5＝54, so the mark for love is 54.
In this way, we can find out the marks for other words. Hardwork becomes 8＋1＋18＋4＋23＋15＋18＋11＝98, and knowledge is 96，money is 72, but luck is 47, a small number, isn't it? None of these words can give you a full mark, not even money.
