2,600 workers have walked out of a car factory in London to go on strike.The workers think they are very poorly paid.They have asked for a rise of 8.5%.There'll be a board meeting later today to discuss their demands.

The latest unemployment figures have been released for this year.They show an increase of 150,263 over last year's figures.This brings the total number of the unemployed to about 1,490,000.It is said that this increase has been caused by the movement of several factories from Britain to the Far East.

Some experts are predicting that house prices will continue to rise this year.It's reported that house price has increased by a third in the last five years.The average

price of a three-bedroom house in southeast England is now ￡255,900.
