要求:围绕提纲内容展开双人对话,可根据提纲内容适当做些补充。 Topic one: On English Study

Situation: Student A finds English is rather hard to him. After the exam, student A looks unhappy, for he can’t do well in English. But student B is good at English, so student A wants to learn from student B the way to learn English. Tips:

Student A: tell student B your worry, your weak point in English.

Student B: try to arouse student A’s interest in English; introduce learning methods, for example: preview before the class, watch English film, speak with English-speaking people, read English books……………

Topic two: On Environmental Protection

Situation: student A and B are walking on the beautiful college campus. They are appreciating the wonderful and peaceful scenery at the college. Now they are discussing the issue of ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.

Student A: hold the belief that environmental protection is of great importance; suggest that the environmental protection awareness should be aroused.

Student B: hold the same points with A, give some concrete examples of how to protect the environment.

Topic three: On Friendship

Situation: student A and B learns in the class a proverb: a friend in need is a friend indeed. They are talking about their understanding of the sentence in the dorm.

Student A: tell student B the understanding of the true friendship and the kind of people you want to make friend with.

Student B: express your agreement on the importance of friendship, give personal experience to support your points; suggest the method to keep friendship alive.

Topic four: Visiting a Foreign Friend

Situation: student A is visiting student B, a foreign student studying at Guangxi University for Finance and Economics, A learns that B feels depressed, loneliness and homesick.

Student A: start the conversation and find out the reasons for student B’s unhappiness; give some advice about how to cheer up and enjoy the life on the campus and in this city.

Student B: share your happy lifetime with your parents; tell student A the reasons for your unhappiness; express the wish to live happily here in China.

Topic five: On the Internet

Situation: a father and a son are exchanging ideas on the edges of the Internet while watching a documentary program “ THE INTERNET HISTROY”.

Father: Internet brings conveniences to people, life without Internet can’t be imaginable. Without the Internet, his business with foreign traders can’t go smoothly. But Internet to students is an evil. Son: tell the father how useful the Internet is in learning, E-learning, checking

materials………..how to avoid the bad effects of the Internet.

Topic Six: Modern People’s Life Burden

Situation: student A and B are talking about life burdens in the current society, and they agree that people, especially young people, bear heavy burdens.

Student A: talk about the burdens people bear, give examples; the advantages of having burdens, say, can develop all-round abilities; keep improving life quality; discuss the ways to keep mental and psychological health.

Student B: also talk about the examples of burdens; the disadvantages of burdens, say, suffer from physical and psychological illness; do harm to social security, etc; discuss the ways to keep mental and psychological health.

Topic Seven: On Extra curriculum Activities

Situation: The Exhibition Community is recruiting new members. Student A invites B to sign up in the community.

Student A: invite B to join in the Community; tell student B the advantages of joining in the community at university.

Student B: express unwillingness to join in any communities; disagree with student A, and tell student A the disadvantages of joining in communities.

Topic Eight: Wealth and Happiness

Situation: everyone in the society hold different attitude towards the relationships between wealth and happiness. Student A is reading FORTUNE magazine in dorm. Now A is sharing his ideas with B.

Student A: talk about the general attitude toward wealth in our society, many people value money a lot; compare life difference for the rich with the poor’s; believe that money can bring happiness. Student B: disagree with A’s opinion; give examples of some of the valuable things in life that money can not buy; explain the understanding of the relation between wealth and happiness.

Topic Nine: On World Book and Copyright Day

Situation: April 23 is known as WORLD BOOK AND COPYRIGHT DAY, it is also called “WORLD READING DAY” in China. The purpose of establishing the Day is to encourage people to read more and make reading part of people’s life. But nowadays, many scholars criticize that nowadays young people don’t spend much time in reading and they read less and less. So student A is talking about this issue with student B.

Student A: analyze why young people don’t like to read compared to their parents, say, study pressure, Internet; cyber game, etc.

Student B: agree with student A, talk about the news reading habits brought by the Internet; offer some possible ways to arouse young people’s reading interests.

Topic one: On English Study

A: I'm so sad! B: What’s wrong with you ? A: You are so good at English ,but I just lost in the English exam .I find it so hard to learn English ,and can you give me some ways to learn English well ? B: Oh ,I am glad to give you some methods .First ,you must keep the pace with the teacher ,which means you must be absorbed in class all the time. A: Yeah ,I know that's important but I can't concentrate on the English very long and I always think other things. B: So you must remind yourself to listen to what the English teacher said. A: I will try my best. B: Second ,you must learn to remember the new words you have learnt and form a habit of looking up the words you don't understand . try to remember some useful expressions .these all can enlarge your vocabulary ,can contribute to your level of learning English A: That's a good way ,but sometimes I have remembered the words ,then several days later ,I forgot .That's so painful ,so I don't like to remember. B: This is a big problem ,many students just as you then they hate to remember .So you must often review what you have remembered ,because you often review them you will find it hard to forget them. A: Oh , that sounds well. I will try B: The last one is the most important .As English is a language ,you can read more English books ,listen to more tapes and speak with people to practice your oral English .You can find it is interesting and easy to learn English .Don't afraid and don' be shy ,you can make it! A: Wow! Thank you very much ,I will take efforts to learn just as you said . Topic two: On Environmental Protection A: The environment here is really good .I think it is very important to protect environment, B: Yes,if the environment is destroyed, it does no benefit to the human. A: I think so, nowadays the pollution is so bad. B: We cannot let the environment has been polluted. Do you have any idea? A: I think we should cause human awareness of environmental protection at first . B: Of course, the awareness of environmental protection is essential. A: Do you have any good suggestions? B: First, we must strengthen the environmental protection publicity and awaken the people environmental protection awareness .We can tell all of my friends and neighbors and family members about preserving the environment. A: Through this people will be able to realize the serious pollution that human beings have made to the nature and people will realize the importance of a clean environment. In future they will reduce pollution in their daily life. B:There are many things we can do,petty thing makes our world better! Have you ever heard of the three Rs? A: Yes I've heard of them! Reduce , Recycle, Reuse, is it? B: Reduce energy Consumption , Recycle papers, plastics, bottles, glass, and reuse papers, or other materials! A: We can try to use green products, try not to use disposable products. In life, we can pay attention to saving water, saving electricity and try not to waste resources. B: You said right, and we do not litter, do not spit ,love animals and plants. A: So, let us start from now on, from the petty thing around to protect environment. B: Well, let us do everything in our power range to protect our home. Topic three: On Friendship A: A friend in need is a friend indeed. This sentence is really wonderful! What is true friendship? Do you have any idea? B: Sometimes we have an argument, but we are right in little while. When you're sad, he will comfort you, when you are happy, he will laugh with you. How about you?
