Step 2. Pre-reading

Jo was a volunteer who worked in Papua New Guinea (PNG) for two years. The reading passage is an airmail letter from Jo to her friend, in which she sent her friends some photos. Look at the photos and in groups answer the questions. （see the pre-reading part on page 28）

Step 3. While reading

Task I. Skimming

1. Divide the passage into 4 parts and match the main idea of each paragraph. Part 1(Paragraph 1) End of the letter.
