三．语法难点
本单元的语法重点是状语从句，主要讲述以下三种状语从句。 1. unless引导条件状语从句
unless = if … not ―除非，若不‖ They will go tomorrow unless it rains.
= They will go tomorrow if it doesn’t rains.
2. as soon as引导时间状语从句。 ―一……就‖ He will come and see you as soon as he can. 3. so.......that引导结果状语从句 句型1：―主语+谓语+so+形容词/副词+that从句‖
The wind was so strong that we could hardly move forward. 句型2： so +形容词 + a/an + 单数名词 + that从句 It was so hot a day that they all went swimming. 句型3. so + many/ few + 复数名词 + that从句 He has so few friends that he often feels lonely.
句型4： so +much/ little + 不可数名词 + that 从句 I had so little money that I couldn’t buy a pen. 四、 知识点讲解
Section A
1. A man told yu Gong that he could never do it.
一个人告诉愚公他绝不可能把山移走。 【辨析】speak/talk/say/tell
(1) 说某种语言用speak speak English 说英语
(2) 与某人交谈用talk talk with sb.= talk to sb. 与某人交谈 (3) 强调说话内容用say say it in English 用英语说 (4) 告诉某人用tell tell sb. to do sth 告诉某人做某事
2. A man saw Yu Gong and his (children/family) when they were working on moving the mountains.
一个人看到愚公和他的（孩子们/ 家人）的时候，他们正在努力地移山。 (1) work on

【解析】
(1) agree v→ (反)disagree → agreement n同意
(2) agree with sb. 同意某人（ 表示同意某人或某人的意见、想法） agree on 主要指双方通过协商而取得一致意见或达成协议 agree to do sth 同意做某事
6. It doesn’t seem very possible to move a mountain.
移走一座山看起来似乎是不可能的。 【解析】
(1)seem 似乎，好像
(2) seem to be + adj. (说明主语的特征或状态) Eg:Mr. Green seemed to be quite happy. (3)It seems + that 从句
7. But what could Yu Gong do instead of moving the mountains?
但是如果愚公不移山，他能做些什么呢？ 【解析】instead of 代替；反而
(1) instead 副词，代替， 放在句末
(2) instead of +n/doing 代替，而不是，放在句中

(1) neither 两者都不（反）------both两者都
(2) ―neither of +名词复数‖ 作主语时，谓语动词常用单数形式
(3)neither… nor … ―既不… 也不……‖ ,连接两个词做主语，谓语动词遵循就近原则。
(4)若要表达―…也不……‖ 则用 ―Neither /Nor + be / V助 / V情 + 主‖
