1.区分 although 和 though ，although比 though更正式，though 可用于even though, as though 等结构，although则不能。用作连词时都不能和but连用，但可跟yet, still 连用 2. 区分so…that…/ such…that… “如此…以致于…” (1) 主语+be + so +形(原形)+that

主语+行为动词 + so +副(原形)+that从句 (常与can /could连用) (2) 主语+be +such a/ an +形+单可名+ that从句 She is such a pretty girl that everyone likes her. The problem is so difficult that we can’t work it out.＝ 主语+be +such +形+不可名/可名复+ that从句

三种句型互换：so/such…that sb can’t/couldn’t…

=too…for sb to do = not＋adj./ adv.＋enough to do sth互换

Step 2 Using although/though

(1) Although/though意为“尽管，即使”，一般情况下可以互换使用。只是though常用于非正式的口语或书面语中，而although则较为正式.though 可用于even though, as though 等结构，although则不能。Though/Although it was raining, yet we were working there.

(2) although 和 though 用作连词时不能和but连用，但可跟yet, still 等连用。 虽然我的小汽车很旧，但是仍然跑的很好。 __________my car is very old, it still runs very well. My car is very old it still runs very well. 尽管他们很穷，但是他们很慷慨。

We can use although / though at the___________ or in the______________ of a sentence to introduce a clause. Step5 Using so...that and such...that

so...that和such...that的意思均为 “如此……以致……” ，都用来引导结果状语从句, 补充说明主句动作发生所带来的结果。但二者用法不尽相同。

so...that结构中的so为副词, 后面跟形容词或副词; such...that中的such为形容词, 后面接名词(名词前可以有形容词修饰)。例如:

I am so good that I should be in Hollywood instead.

The actress worked so hard that she did not have a day off last year. Millie is such a good storyteller that she could write exciting scripts.

当that前的名词有表示数量多少的many, much, few, little等修饰时, 只能用so. (1) There was so much noise outside that we couldn't hear the teacher. 外面嘈杂声很大, 以致我 们不能听到老师的话。
